About
{"ops":[{"insert":"I’m SAKSHAM SAPKOTA, an acrylic artist based in Abu Dhabi, and most of my work begins in the same place: inside my own head, where logic kindly steps aside and imagination takes the wheel.I paint from a very personal space—“inspiration: on my own” is less a slogan and more a lifestyle. My canvases are where I go to be alone with my thoughts, then promptly invite colors, shapes, and stories to crash the party. The result is a playful mix of warmth, daydreams, and the kind of quiet that somehow feels loud with possibility.Acrylic is my favorite co-conspirator: it dries fast enough to keep up with my ideas, and forgiving enough when those ideas change their mind halfway across the canvas. I use color and texture to create little worlds that feel cozy and familiar, even if you’ve never seen anything quite like them before. Think of them as visual postcards from my imagination—no travel visa required.When people look at my work, I want them to feel like they’ve slipped into their own private corner of the universe for a moment. Maybe it reminds them of a memory, maybe it sparks a new story in their mind, or maybe it just makes them smile for reasons they can’t quite explain. All are valid answers; there are no wrong interpretations here, only different flavors of “this feels like me.”In a busy, noisy world, my paintings offer a gentle escape—a warm, slightly quirky reminder that it’s okay to drift off into your own thoughts, to wander inside your imagination, and to find comfort in simply being with yourself… preferably in good company with a few bold colors and curious shapes.\n"}]}
