Yellow Fin Tuna Wall Sculpture hand carved
The Yellow fin Tuna, carved in Tennessee Red Cedar, is a very striking piece for any wall. Hand carved by Richard Vest, this piece is torpedo shaped, has a tung oil finish with steel hooks on the reverse, ready for wall mounting.
The Yellow fin is found in the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans and can reach up to 7 feet in length, 450 lbs. It is a fast moving fish and schools with other tuna and also associates with dolphins.
All of Richard's wall sculptures are for indoor display only, signed and copyright dated.
Additionally, a signed Authenticity Certificate accompanies each carving.
This piece measures approximately 14" high x 35" long and is very impressive with it's coloring and grain tones. Red cedar can vary from deep red heartwood to yellow streaks of sapwood. It is a beautiful wood and used by the artist quite extensively in his work.
Notice the darkened torched eye. This is a trademark of the artist's work, the darkened eye; bringing out the personality of each carving.
The photo shows the Yellow fin swimming to the right. It can also be ordered swimming left and without any yellow sapwood. At the time of ordering please indicate you would one or both options.
This piece has previously sold, however when your order it Richard will carve you a sculpture with all the color, grain, texture and movement of the original yellow fin photo.
Please allow 2-5 weeks for shipment to occur.
