Nesting Beaver Wall Sculpture hand carved
The Beaver is one of Richard Vest's favorite animals to carve...The California wildlife artist utilizes Alder wood for the piece with a tung oil finish.
Beavers are known for building dams and canals, creating these dams with deep water to protect against predators and to float food. They can reach up to 66 pounds and 39" long.
Richard imparts the personality and realism in this wall sculpture with plenty of fur texture, coloring and grain.
Each carving has it's own feel and is sure to draw attention with visiting friends especially with this neat design showing the beaver on top of his collected branches for dam building.
The piece has brass plated sawtooth hangers on the reverse, ready for wall mounting. All of the artist's pieces are for indoor display only.
Each carving is signed/copyrighted. Additionally, the artist includes a signed Authenticity Certificate with the work.
This wall sculpture measures approximately 14" high by 29" wide and about 2.5 inches plus thick.
