Mother/Baby Abalone Sea Otters wall sculpture hand carved
The Mother and Baby Sea Otter wall sculpture is a piece which can be displayed on any wall as a main sculpture or accent.
Richard Vest, California wildlife artist hand carved this special carving-a sculpture with personality and a real abalone shell.
The artist purchases the shells from the Cayucos Abalone Farm near Morro Bay, California, and with all the different sizes of shells available, he finds the perfect one to fit in each carving.
This piece measures approximately 15" x 16" utilizing a whitish grey staining with brass plated hooks on the reverse, ready for wall hanging. This wall sculpture has a lacquer finish.
Note the characteristic darkened torched eye of these little creatures-a trademark of this artist.
All of the artist's work is for indoor display only- each is signed and copyright dated.
Additionally, Richard includes a signed Authenticity Certificate, in the shipping box which accompanies the piece.
This carving has previously sold, however when you order, Richard will carve a piece with all the color,
grain, texture, and personality of the original photo work.
