Howling Wolves Wall sculpture hand carved
The Howling Wolves wall sculpture, hand carved by California Wildlife artist, Richard Vest,
generates many compliments when displayed in a home or office.
The piece is very striking with the Tennessee Red Cedar Moon in the background. In this piece the artist utilizes some yellow sapwood against the red heartwood creating a beautiful background.
The grain on each moon is different and no two are alike. The animals all have their own grain, texture, and personality.
The artist uses alder wood for the ground base and wolves. A torch is used to darken
the animal fur and the texture of the ground base.
Tung Oil is the choice of finish. It penetrates deep into the wood giving the finish a beautiful low lustre.
This piece measures approximately 24" High by 28" across, suitable for indoor display only. Each carving has brass plated hooks on the reverse, ready for wall hanging.
The artist signs each piece and an Authenticity Certificate accompanies the work.
