Holding hands sea otters wall sculpture hand carved
The Holding Hands Sleeping Otters Wall Sculpture is one of Richard Vest's newest pieces. The California wildlife artist hand carves this
piece in alder wood with white staining around the head area of the otters.
This piece measures approximately 15" high x 31" long, about 3" or so thick with nickel plated hangers on the reverse, ready for hanging. Each otter is holding his own abalone shell.
Finished in a water based lacquer, the artist darkens areas of the piece with a torch.
Working from his own drawings the artist is able to impart a realistic look in the work. Each piece is an original with it's own color, grain, texture, and personality.
These sea otters are one of his best pieces in the sea otter series.
The otters actually hold hands when asleep so they don't drift away from each other.
Each piece is signed and copyrighted by the artist, suitable for indoor display only.
Richard also includes a neat signed Authenticity Certificate with each work, a nice touch.
This wall sculpture has previously sold, however when you order, Richard will carve you a piece with all the color, grain, texture, and movement of the original photo work
Richard ships via UPS ground insured constructing a strong box assuring safe delivery to your home or office.
