Buffalo Bust Wall Sculpture hand carved
California Wildlife Artist, Richard Vest, hand carves a beautiful Buffalo.
The piece is very popular with Buffalo Collectors at exhibitions and this work is carved in alder wood with a black walnut staining. The artist used hard rock Maple wood for the Horns embedding them into the head at least 3-4 inches so they are solid.
Each Buffalo Head sculpture has it's own grain and personality making them distinctive.
This Buffalo is such a powerful piece finding it's way into homes sometimes over a couch or fireplace, other times in alcoves in the wall...Most customers end up installing track lighting to highlight the eyes at night...It is a very striking piece.
The carving measures approximately 22" wide x 30" high and has a lot of depth, giving it a realistic feel. All of the artist's pieces are for indoor display only. The piece has a steel bar on the reverse, ready for wall mounting. It is finished in Tung Oil.
The piece is signed and copyright dated. A signed Authenticity Certificate accompanies each piece.
This wall sculpture has previously sold, however when you order, Richard will carve you a piece with all the color, grain, texture of the original photo work.
Shipment is via UPS ground insured within the U.S. mainland, lower 48 states.
