Boreal Owl Round Wall Mirror hand carved
The Boreal Owl Mirror, offered by Richard Vest, California Wildlife artist, finds it's way into homes all across the U.S. The piece is not only decorative but functional as well.
Hand carved in alder wood, Richard works from his own sketches to give this piece a unique look. Owls are a favorite by many customers and adding the little owl into a framed piece works well in homes.
Interestingly, since the artist carves an entire series of different Owls , many customers who have purchased one or more of the Owls in the past, end up also acquiring an owl mirror to compliment the other work...a nice touch.
The Mirror is visual, opens up a wall, and receives many compliments from visiting friends. It is finished in Tung Oil.
This piece is approximately 24" in diameter, 2" thick with steel hooks on the reverse, ready for wall hanging. The work is for Indoor display only.
A grayish staining is used on the Owl, giving it contrast against the Alder frame.
It is signed and copyright dated by the artist. Additionally, a signed Authenticity Certificate accompanies the piece.
Richard uses a round glass mirror inserted into the frame. The glass is a clear mirror, although, for photographic purposes, there is a slight bluish tint.
In some cases, customer's might need a different diameter for their space. The piece offered here is 24". Please feel free to contact the artist with a request for a different size commissioned work.
This mirror has previously sold, however when you order the piece Richard will carve you a mirror with all the texture, color, and grain seen on the original photo work.
Please allow 2-5 weeks for shipment to occur.
The artist ships via UPS ground insured constructing a strong box assuring safe delivery to your home or office. He will email estimated e.t.a at time of shipment.
Shipment is within the U.S. mainland, lower 48 states.
