Barred Owl Wall sculpture hand carved

This Barred Owl wall sculpture was hand carved by the California Wildlife artist, Richard Vest.
It is a very popular piece at exhibitions because of the owl design and the way the artist brings out the coloring, texture, and personality of this large predator bird.

The Barred Owl is native to North America, best known for it's "Hoot", a distinctive call.

This wall sculpture measures approximately 15" across by 37" high and is suitable for indoor display only. The piece has steel brackets on the reverse, ready for wall mounting.

The piece is carved in alder wood with whitish gray staining, yellow and black staining around the eyes and beak. It is finished in lacquer.

This sculpture is signed and copyright dated. The artist also sends a signed Authenticity Certificate
along with the piece.

Each Owl the artist carves is an original with it's own features...The artist works from his own drawings.
