the sculpture for a real African Gray.

The African Gray learns its surroundings by the characteristic "stare".

This sculpture, a gift to our webmaster / graphic designer,
a memorium for the loss of his twenty year companion, Gabby.

African Gray's, masters of mimicking sounds, from a squeaky
hinge to the microwave timer beep; consideered the
"best talkers" of the parrot species, learning names and sayings easily.

Whistling, another of their amazing talents, Gabby often engaged
in "whistle-offs" until the person could not repeat it. When
defeat was admitted, she laughed sardonically.

This sculpture resides in the Sierra Foothills of California.

Felt under the base prevents scratching of a surface.
