TURTLE PRINCESS CROWN captivates with its intricate handcarved marble base, vintage mirrors, and unique accents, evoking curiosity and timeless elegance.
CONCEPT & CONSTRUCTION: Went to an estate sale close to my house, lots of scatter items, as I usually end up in the garage, looking through bens. Went into the kitchen and there were over 200 heavy duty metal and marble. Since I usually need a sturdy base for each piece, lucky me. But this one was a turtle, with its shell flattened so I could build from that. One central wood carved piece takes center stage, bookmarked by two bookends. Thought I’d throw in a couple of cool vintage mirrors, a Budda spoon, a book holder, add some chain and funky jewelry and boom, “Turtle Princess Crown was conceived.
MADE FROM: A marble cutting or serving board, handcarved central piece, a marble center base, one vintage handheld mirror, a compact mirror, a big and small book end holders, a book holder, a weird coin, jewelry chains, earings, necklesses and a few “I don’t know what this thing is” items.
