This painting is about the soul, the light inside us. Our essence of human beings. It’s a painting born from a fear I have, that we might lose this very essence, with the developing of the AI
The rose is a symbol of life and memory, a life that an android or artificial intelligence drifts across the cosmos to (re)discover. It is about humanity, feelings, and the little sparks that make us who we are—things an android might long for, but can never truly possess. The title is suggestive -the ‘essence of light’ as for me, life is light and viceversa.
